Common troubleshooting tips

    • Check: We process template deliveries and send out SquareSpace invitations as quickly as possible during our business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm PST). While it's often much faster, please allow up to 24 hours for the invitation to arrive, especially if purchased outside these hours.

    • Search: Thoroughly check your Spam, Junk, Promotions, and All Mail folders. The email comes from no-reply@squarespace.com.

    • Verify: Ensure the email you provided at checkout is correct.

    • Still Missing? If it's been over 24 hours and you've checked all folders, please contact us at support@thememarketco.com with your order number.

    • Check: Are you using high-resolution images appropriate for their use (e.g., larger for banners, smaller for thumbnails)?

    • Action: Optimize images before uploading! Resize them for web use (e.g., banners ~2000-2500px wide, content images ~800-1500px wide). Compress file sizes using tools like TinyPNG (tinypng.com) – aim for under 500KB per image where possible.

    • Action: When pasting text from other sources (Word, Google Docs, other websites), use "Paste as Plain Text" (Ctrl+Shift+V or Cmd+Shift+V on Windows; Option+Shift+Command+V on Mac) to remove hidden formatting that can interfere with Squarespace styles.

    • Style: Use Squarespace's built-in text styles (Heading 1, Paragraph 2, etc.) consistently. You can customize these in the Site Styles panel to match your brand.

    • Check: This element might be styled with custom CSS unique to your template, or it might be an image/graphic.

    • Caution: Always back up any custom code from the Custom CSS panel before making edits if you're unfamiliar with CSS.

    • Try these common browser fixes:

      • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.

      • Open your Squarespace site in an incognito or private browsing window.

      • Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.

Frequently asked questions

  • No. The template is installed on a 14-day free SquareSpace trial. You'll need to purchase a SquareSpace subscription separately (Personal, Business, or Commerce plan, depending on your needs) directly from SquareSpace before the trial ends to keep your site live and connect a custom domain.

  • SquareSpace does not allow direct template installation onto existing sites. Your ThemeMarket template is delivered as a brand new trial site with the design pre-installed. To use the design on an existing SquareSpace 7.1 site, you will need to manually rebuild each page and feature from your old site into the new template structure, or vice-versa. This is a detailed, manual process.

  • Your purchase grants a license for use on one (1) single SquareSpace website. For each additional website where you wish to use the template, a new template license must be purchased from ThemeMarket.

  • Due to the instant digital delivery of our templates (as website transfers and downloadable asset files), we do not offer refunds or exchanges once the purchase is complete and/or the website transfer has been accepted. We encourage you to review the live demo site carefully and ask any questions you may have before purchasing.

  • We provide 30 days of email support for questions directly related to installing the template as per our Installation Guide/Resource Hub resources, and understanding/using the template's original features and sections as demonstrated in the live demo site. This support does not cover general SquareSpace usage (SquareSpace has excellent help resources), advanced coding customizations you choose to make, issues arising from third-party plugins or code not included with the original template, or design revisions.

  • Yes! While our template support focuses on guiding you, if you'd prefer a "done-for-you" experience, our Set-up Package service is perfect. We take your chosen MarketTheme template, implement your branding, populate your content, and get you launched in just a handful of days. You can learn more on our website or by contacting us.
